Grilling fajitas and wielding a chain saw are two of my favorite pastimes as my wife (Maggie) and I live on 2 acres enjoying the stars at night and the sounds of neighbors’ cattle, roosters, donkeys and the like. I love to be outdoors almost as much as sharing the Good News of Jesus with those who want to learn.
I am blessed to be the Associate Pastor here at St. John in Cypress and love the staff as well as the folks of the congregation. The Body of Christ is strong here, joy-filled and responsive, while facing various challenges as we seek to make known the love of Christ in this world. I describe our congregation as one that is persevering.
My four grown children are scattered throughout Texas; one in the army and two at universities (Texas Tech and Texas A&M) and one in San Antonio with her husband and children. Yes, I’m a grateful, blessed husband, father and grandfather.
Before coming to St. John, I’ve pastored various churches in San Antonio (King of Kings), Corpus Christi (Trinity) and West Sinton (Trinity) and have loved them all. Now that God has led me here to St. John in Cypress, I’m thankful and optimistic for kingdom growth that has, is, and will continue here and in the communities. To God be the glory!
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12
