Mission and ministry council

The Mission and Ministry Council (MMC) is the elected governing body of the congregation, given the responsibility to administer all the congregation’s affairs except the following matters that must have prior approval of the Voters Assembly:

1. Adoption of Annual Financial Plan
2. Acquisition or disposal of any single asset or liability that exceeds 3% of the Annual Financial Plan;
3. Extend a Divine Call
4. Removal from office of a Called worker; or
5. Dissolution of the congregation

The MMC has the authority to develop all necessary policies and/or guidelines as required to conduct the general business of the church as long as those policies or guidelines do not conflict with the Constitution or Bylaws of St. John. The written policies and procedures are available to voting members upon request.
