  • True Riches 101

LEd by PAstor Bahn | Worship Center Commons

We are looking forward to beginning a new eight-week Adult Bible Study, True Riches 101. This study highlights St. John’s values, practices, and expression of the Christian faith as taught in the Lutheran Church. The Bible study is for all people who wish to become members of St. John. Although it is designed with a new believer in mind, it is a meaningful experience for long-time Lutherans as well. We pray that you will find it beneficial and edifying and look forward to having you join us!

  • But the greatest of these is love

    LED BY KEN GRAEBER | ADmin 101 & 102

Do we live in a perverse society filled with conflict? If so, Paul's first letter to the church at Corinth is addressed to us. Paul emphasizes the need for Christian unity which requires discipline, forgiveness and love. We are each blessed with spiritual gifts and talents so that we can connect our neighbors to true riches in Jesus. However, we are all in this together and need each other to accomplish this mission. Paul's letter also provides instruction on communion and stewardship along with insight on our resurrection.

  • Hebrews

Led by Dave Steele  | Admin 103

Hebrews was written to encourage early Christians in their faith while they faced extreme hardships and persecution. The letter exalts Christ in the midst of suffering and bridges the gap between symbolic practices in the Old Testament and Christian practices of today. Our faith is still challenged by hardship and suffering and by what Jesus called the thorns – worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth. The Hebrews Bible study will continue through the end of December. Lessons are complete in themselves and do not require attendance in previous classes. All are welcome.

  • Romans

Led by PASTOR SCHULTZ & Bobby Goerner | Ministry Center Room 104

No book in the New Testament gives such a “golden review of Biblical teaching” like the Book of Romans. Martin Luther said “Romans is really the chief part of the New Testament, and in reality, the pure Gospel. It is worthy not only that every Christian should know it word for word, by heart, but also should occupy himself with it every day, as the daily bread of the soul. We can never read or ponder on it too much; for the more we deal with it, the more precious it becomes and better it tastes.” “In it are truths the Christian should know, namely what is the Gospel, sin, punishment, grace, faith righteousness, Christ, God, good works, love, hope and the Cross. And how we are to conduct ourselves toward everyone, whether he is righteous or sinner, strong or weak, friend or foe, and even toward our own selves.” (LW35:380). Come join us. We’d love to have you.
