Epilogue

God works through things that may seem insignificant to some. Perhaps you are feeling insignificant in your relationship with others . . . or in your relationship with God.  Perhaps you are afraid of the fast changing culture, technology and more.  Know this, "God never tires of relighting your candle of faith."

Thoughts

Proverbs 23:7 – “For as he thinks in his heart, so he is."

Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

This week, we will explore how our thoughts matter.  Our thoughts have a direct impact on who we are.  Our thoughts lead our words and our actions and end up shaping our lives.

Words

8th Commandment: You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Proverbs 12:18:  The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

We explore how our words affect others and even ourselves.

Actions
This week, we look at the difference between ‘self’-discipline, which is impossible, and ‘Spirit’-discipline, which creates change enabled by the power of the forgiveness of sins.  We will study 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 for the secret of Spirit led discipline, which is of course, the power of the gospel meeting us in our weakness.
