Psalms
Psalm 97 | Enthronement
As we read scripture, there are obvious instance of Christ seated on the throne both in the Old Testament (Psalm 97) and the New Testament (Transfiguration). In an increasingly turbulent world, recalling that Christ is seated on His throne serves as a source of great comfort for Believers.
Psalm 6 | Lament
Though it is a struggle in times of distress, we are wise to remind ourselves that we, and indeed the whole world, are under God's authority. We hope in the God of Heaven and earth and realize that while we patiently hope, our character grows. We know that vengeance is the Lord's, not ours. In the end, his promise for us is a perfect eternal life where our sufferings will finally end.
Psalm 32 | Repentance
Our sin and guilt are often very painful. Fortunately, we have a Father that calls us to repentance. He both hears and heals our heart and takes away our sin and shame. In this, we have great joy in His unfailing love!
Psalm 121 | Ascent
Our God keeps us - he keeps us from evil, he keeps our life, he keeps our going out and our coming in. In our times of challenges of simplicity, sorrow or joy, he does not sleep - his will and ways for our live never stop.
