FOLLOW THE WORD
In 2026, we’re taking an exciting journey together as a church family. We are reading through the entire Bible and you can join at any point, just pick up wherever we are and jump in!
Reading the whole Bible helps us notice how scripture tells one unfolding story from creation, to God’s covenant with Israel, the ups and downs of His people and the promise of a Savior, to the life of Jesus, the mission of the early Church, and His promise of eternity in a new Heaven and new Earth. Reading it in historical order helps us see that story with fresh clarity and depth. Although our plan is chronological overall, we wanted to bookend it with two Gospels, so that we begin and end the year with the life of Christ. If you've never read the Bible, it's important to begin with Jesus' life and have Him first and foremost in our hearts and minds. Secondly, starting with a Gospel reminds us that we believe that all Scripture points to Jesus and finds its fulfillment in Him, so we read scripture with that mindset and lens.
Get ready for a transformative year in God’s Word as we Follow the Word together!
At St. John, we believe life is better when we're connected to God and to one another.
Our mission is to connect our neighbors to the true riches found in Jesus, and we live that out in everything we do. We love to celebrate together in worship that is engaging, inspiring, and centered on the hope we have in Christ. We live in biblical community, encouraging one another through God’s Word as we walk together in faith. We also share Jesus’ love with the people around us in real and practical ways. Along the way, we all pitch in by using our God-given gifts to serve meaningfully and meet the needs of those in our church and community.
This is more than a Sunday routine; it’s a daily lifestyle of connection, and we would love to walk alongside you in it.
